Listeners share some details about their Tavour and other online beer subscriptions. We talk Zappa, Tioga expanding its reach, wonder is Boston Beer Company should still be Indie, begin Celebration Batch Watch, and a bunch more beer geeky things!
Yep, this episode is one of those times Mikey screwed up the audio. Screwed up so bad that the original audio failed. Sorta thankfully there is a backup. Sorta because it does not sound too great. But at least it’s there. Just wanted to give you a heads up before you go changing your settings and things.
Anyway, we have already started our campaign to watch the dates on Sierra Nevada’s “Celebration” Ale; how many batches are there during the course of the Holiday Season? This year we intend to find out.
Plus we get updates from Chew and Paul, talk about how new taprooms builds might already be changing and wonder what happened to one of the hosts.
How long do you let an open beer sit in the fridge before you throw it out? Would you still drink it the next day? Two days? Dump it out after an hour? What?
We tackle that beer question, along with coming up with names for Van Halen themed beers, lookout for some new Ballast Point beers, ask if we have drank in a parking stall yet, an update on how Sober October is going in the Perfect Pour Community (the PPC), someone took a trip to Dust Bowl and a lot more.
Thank you for listening. Thank you Tasty from the Brewing Network. Thank you Eddie Van Halen.
Bumping beers off the shelf and having fun. That’s what we try to do all the weeks. This one is no different.
Thankfully, Stone Brewing is giving us more things to talk about, and there are definitely things. Mikey enters the ‘stout layer’, a listener gets a porch bomb for his good show deeds, Who is the Shout Out of the week, and MANY other fun beer things.
We get higher than an airplane, one more time tonight!:
Dave Ramsey is not going to like this movement. It seems that some taprooms are becoming ‘card only’, meaning they are not handling any cash. Are you okay with this?
Some other things that happen this week: One of us has their first Pliny The Younger experience, Modern Times & Mumford battle for a reco, Paul goes back to the bumper music studio, we try to figure out where you listen to the show and much more beer geek fun-times!
Chew Your Beer suggested we should take some time off and let the listeners make their own episode so we can take the week off. We sorta listened.
We realized if we didn’t show up to podcast, we wouldn’t be able to drink all that damn fine beer Perfect Pour listeners have given us. So we tightened our segments, sat back, and listened to the listeners take over the show.
Hope you enjoy. Major thanks to everyone that called and to everyone that has listened to us all year and throughout the years! Keep up the good work!
You may find that there is a portion of this episode that has too many Star Wars sound effects. But don’t let the hate flow through you, there are plenty of beer things to talk about as we get ready for Tioga’s “Rush Day” and Linefest AND the 1st Anniversary of Zack’s Brewing.
Plus, we review Untappd’s new update, rant about beer things, listen to lots of great listener voicemails and we celebrate the end of the Brew 4 Chew Strike!
