This episode is… ahhh, you’ll hear. It’s weird. There is always an odd one here and there.
We hope you’re getting through this Corona Virus relatively ok and have enough beer to hunker down with. Even though we really don’t mention it in the episode, don’t forget to support your local breweries the best you can right now. Even if that means waiting for this whole thing out and then buying a crap-ton of beer later.
I promise it’s a fun episode. Even though we talk about all the craft beer-related closings happening across the world and how taprooms are going to feel the heat from virus fears, I still promise this is a fun one.
Dave Ramsey is not going to like this movement. It seems that some taprooms are becoming ‘card only’, meaning they are not handling any cash. Are you okay with this?
Some other things that happen this week: One of us has their first Pliny The Younger experience, Modern Times & Mumford battle for a reco, Paul goes back to the bumper music studio, we try to figure out where you listen to the show and much more beer geek fun-times!
It has been a while but Matt finally got his beard down to San Diego to do some drinking and slinging. Plus, some developments in the local beer scene, an important beer that comes from a can for the first time and lots of listener participation.
For some reason this year, I guess, somebody thought Fresno is part of SF Beer Week and dropped off some Heady Topper. So we decided to pit it against a local Hazy DIPA, Tioga Sequoia’s Tecumseh Of Rivia! How does it hold up? Listen in.
We fit in some more fun stuff, including, one of our Show Reps has noticed an odd and slightly hilarious thing happening on Untappd lately. And we have more options for games to play while drinking.
We expect to hear back from you about this next week but, what are some games you like to play while drinking? You know, like Yahtzee and crap. What kind of chill thing do you do while drinking?
Also, Karl Strauss has but out their calendar and it looks like they will be doing some more interesting colab’ beers this year. Anyway, plenty of our usual fun, check us out and listen for the bad review at the end.
I have been enjoying the voicemailers talking about their experiences from visiting Treehouse, the streak stays alive this week. We also begin a new Taproom Update segment as Fortiter Brewing begins the building process.
Atwater Brewing sells out and we wonder who they are and more of our unique brand of beer geek fun.
Shove it through your pass-thru and have a listen:
